The band normally presents a series of 4 to 6 concerts annually. Members range from those picking up their instrument for the first time in years, to local school band directors, private lesson teachers, to professional musicians. The Wind Symphony is supported by Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, the City of Carrollton and other private donations.  The Carrollton Wind Symphony is a member of the Association of Concert Bands, an international organization dedicated to the advancement of adult community bands.  The Carrollton Wind Symphony was selected twice to perform at the Texas Bandmasters Association in San Antonio and also at the Association of Concert Bands Convention. On Friday, June 1st, the President of the Midwest Board of Directors, Dr. Richard Crain, will present the “Sudler Silver Scroll” to the Carrollton Wind Symphony at 7:30 PM in the auditorium of Creekview High School.  Admission is free.
