Associate Director Jim Moen
Jim Moen has served as Associate Director of the Carrollton Wind Symphony for the past three and a half years. Mr. Moen retired from music education in 2006 after teaching for 30 years. He served as a music educator in Minnesota for three years and was a band director in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District for the last twenty seven years of his career. His symphonic and marching bands received numerous Sweepstakes awards in UIL as well as competitions in Texas, Florida, Colorado and Tennessee. He also served as the Fine Arts Department Chairman at R. L. Turner High school for ten years.
In addition to being the Associate Director of the Carrollton Wind Symphony, he presently works as a technical consultant, accompanies student instrumentalists on piano, and serves as an adjudicator and clinician for symphonic bands.
